Yay, we saw fire bugs last night, they are sooo sparkly and bright! Wanna bring some home!
It was a bit drizzly during the afternoon and into the evening so we ended up eating inside last night. We had such a good
sleep, it's much cooler in the forest and it is so quiet here - not a train to be
heard : )
Woke to sunshine and peacefulness! Stooged around for awhile, tidying up some of
the bays underneath, cleaning, reading and then we went for a meander along the 'Saginaw Historical Hiking Trail' which follows an old narrow-gauge railroad bed
used by lumbermen around the 1900’s. The track took us right down to the lake so
we got to dip our toes in the water! It was only a mile or so but that was as much as wanted to do today. Only wildlife visible were squirrels and birds but there was evidence of deer.

It was hot and by the time we got back to the coach we were ready for an
ice cold water and a relax outside in our recliners under the shade of the
tall pines surrounding our campsite. Being a Friday there was a lot of comings - less goings, but it was interesting watching it all happen around us.
We are moving on tomorrow and tried to book in at a campsite right on the river bank in the centre in the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, but due to the River Festival being held this weekend, they have no vacancies. Hmm, a rethink is necessary : ) Might go a bit further, to Memphis, TN.
Tonight we cooked dinner out on the grill over a bed of
charcoal and wood - and very good it was too!
Fillet steak wrapped in bacon, taties baked in the embers served with sour
cream and dill, fried onions, tomatoes and broccoli – yum yum! Satiated!
