We woke early enough to say one final ‘bye to L&L and
have one final hug! The sky is grey and
drizzle threatening although that's not in the forecast.
Diamond Jacks was a good place to stay, the RV Park is a two
minute walk to the casino, a three minute drive across the river to the
Boardwalk with it’s outlet shops and tram which runs alongside the shops. The Twin City Express Shuttle
Service runs Friday through Sunday - $3 per trip between Bossier City and
Shreveport. Jo-ann, a coloured gal, runs
the park with an iron fist, she’s cool but don’t make her come get you like we
did by not stopping at the office to check in before going to our spot! But we ended up best friends! Only small negative is our site (10) doesn’t
pick up the poor WIFI. It’s reasonably priced though at $25/night. The laundry was
clean and not expensive, $1.25/wash $0.75 per dry. For the outdoor pool we needed a key card
which we got from the main desk. The
pool wasn’t busy and there were lots of loungers to lax back in, the water was
clean and cool. Good music was playing and there was a bar attached.
We are headed 160 miles north into Arkansis today, past
Texarkana up towards Hot Springs intending to stop at DeGray Lake Resort State
Park, near Bismarck. Hopefully we will
have WIFI or at least cell coverage there, otherwise you might not see a more
blog for about three days.
