21 May, Sunday - Rusk TX

OK, after last night I have come to the conclusion that it is just one bird which signs all night and it knows an awful lot of different tunes!  Woke early again, pre 6 am, to the NOAA going off advising of thunder, lightning and hail too this time, which all duly followed.  The hail didn’t sound too bad but I was glad it wasn’t any worse,  being mindful of the plastic vent and AC covers we have on the roof.  The bad weather passed over within an hour or so but it has stayed cooler today 22C, until the sun came out around 2 pm.

Log Cabins at Rusk KOA

I always wanted a pedal car, maybe I should take one of these for a spin!

Yay - a tiny house in the campground : )

L&L and I drove into the little township of Rusk to have a look around.  It’s a tiny town, shops laid out around the square with the courthouse holding centre stage.  There were some grand old homes and rather a lot of big churches, more than seemed necessary for such a small population.

Grand old lady!

Pretty house next door
