Saturday, 10 June, Natchez Trace Preserve

Not so cold this morning and the sky is very blue and the sun is shining.  Today is a big camp organised day, starting with a 10 am coffee meeting, golf cart decorating, masquerade mask making for the ball tonight, and dinner is laid on – Taco Bar with Spanish rice and all the trimmings for $5 each.  Plus live country music, maybe we will go check out the music at least?

First up though a shower and as we are not connected to sewer here using the bathhouse and on the way back I hear a rustling in the leaves and see a large cat sized armadillo fossicking in the dead leaves at the side of the road. So cute, he would snuffle with his head under the leaves and poke it up every few seconds and then go again.

Cute 'lil Armadillo, lookit his cute big ears

Site Map of the campgrounds, we are in 178B in Phase 2
Coffee meeting with C&C at 10am and then a wander up to the entertainment buildings at the entrance to Phase 2 where as it happens we could get some phone and internet coverage. We check out where everything is to happen tonight and phone up Two Rivers, the place we want to stay next in Nashville (same place we stayed two years ago) with live music on the verandah each night and a shuttle to the Grand Ole Opry and the Opry Mills Outlet shopping centre, so we will def stay two nights here : )  Couldn't go much earlier as Nashville is hosting the annual four day Country Music Festival this weekend and the place is pretty booked out.

Spent some time having a nice relax in our loungers outside in the shade with a spot of reading. Lovely way to while away some of the afternoon..

We did go up and listen to the music around 6.45 pm - unfortunately just as the musicians were winding down, however they played another set for us so we got a fix of Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson tunes to tap along too.

Back home to cook ‘build your own burgers’ on the grill and then marshmallows over the open flames before we call it a night!  Another beautiful day in Paradise : )
