13 May Saturday, Columbus TX

It was hot last night again but it got quite cool from the open windows by dawn.  By 8.30 we are on our way into town with L&L for Bacon, Eggs, Hashbrowns, Sausage Patties and bottomless coffee - a great way to start the day!

The Farmers Market was small but interesting - produce and preserves, jewellery, crafts etc.  All the stallholders  spoke to us, very friendly people.

Took in the 500 year old oak tree, the old stone cottage, the grand courthouse and some of the lovely old antebellum architecture.  A quaint little American town.  As you can see from the photos, the sun is shining and it is a balmy 28C.

500 year old Oak Tree (would need a very long yellow ribbon)
